Dr Piravin Somasundaram

Dr. Piravin, (referred to as Dr. Prav), has trained in several hospitals in NSW including Blacktown, Bathurst and Royal Prince Alfred, working across various medical specialties during that time.

He commenced his General Practice Specialist training in Regional Victoria in 2016. And worked as a GP Registrar and Visiting Medical Officer at medical clinics and Regional Hospitals in VIC, before relocating back to Sydney in 2020.

He has several speciality interests including chronic medicine, Paediatrics, mental health, and Skin Cancer surgery. In addition to his GP specialist fellowship, he holds a Diploma in Childrens Health, and certificates in Skin Cancer Medicine and surgery. He is an alumnus of the Sydney Childrens Hospital Network, and a member of the Skin Cancer College of Australasia.

Dr. Prav enjoys the challenge of dealing with a wide variety of medical complaints and values the importance of the doctor-patient relationship.

Dr Marin Sultana

Dr Marin Sultana is an MBBS graduate from University of Dhaka, Bangladesh with special interest in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. She is a fellow of Royal College of General Practitioners and has completed a Diploma in Paediatrics.

Dr Sultana worked in general practice and family medicine for many years in Townsville and Gold Coast of Queensland.

Dr Sultana has a special interest in Women’s Health, Paediatrics, Chronic Disease Management, Mental Health  and Occupation Health.

Dr Sultana can speak Bengali and Hindi.

Dr Sneh Tiwari

General Practitioner (Locum)

Dr Sneh Tiwari has called Cairns home for more than 20 years. Dr Sneh is originally from Fiji,  but relocated to Cairns with her husband and daughters for a lifestyle change.

Her main interest has been women’s health and continues to expand her skills and knowledge. Dr Sneh also has extensive experience with indigenous healthcare and refugee healthcare.

Dr Sneh is affiliated with the James Cook University in the GP Training programme and is an AGPAL accredited surveyor. Dr Sneh is the Principal GP at the Cairns Family Medical.

Dr Sneh enjoys travel, gardening and family time.

Dr Sarat Cheruvu

Cardiologist

Availability: Wednesday (Once a fortnight)

Dr Sarat Cheruvu is an Australian-trained Cardiologist with special interests in advanced cardiac imaging, hereditary and genetic cardiomyopathies and the assessment of acute chest pain syndromes.

Dr Cheruvu graduated from the University of NSW with both academic and research honours, completing his thesis in the physiology of the renin-angiotensin system. He completing his physician’s training at St Vincent’s Hospital in Sydney; following which he completed his advanced training in Cardiology in the Central Coast/Royal North Shore Network. He subsequently completed a two-year post graduate fellowship at the prestigious Advanced Cardiac Imaging Centre in St Vincent’s Hospital focusing on cardiac CT, cardiac MRI and interventional transesophageal echocardiography.

Dr Cheruvu has a strong commitment to teaching having founded educational colleges to help students gain entrance to medicine as well as pass the physician’s training exam. He has previously worked as an associate lecturer for both University of NSW and Western Sydney University.

As a general cardiologist, Dr Cheruvu sees patients with a wide range of cardiac diseases including ischaemic heart disease, arrhythmias and heart failure with specific expertise in the application of advanced cardiac imaging for the assessment of cardiovascular disease.

Sandro Queiroz

Psychologist

Sandro Queiroz graduated with a Bachelor of Psychology from Western Sydney University in 2020.  Sandro holds an Honours degree in Psychology and is registered with the Psychology Board of Australia.  He further adopted evidence based medical knowledge through his Master in counselling and Psychotherapy.  

Sandro uses different approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic, Mindfulness, Schema Therapy, Eyes Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Hypnotherapy to treat his clients. 

Sandro is a bi-lingual practitioner. He can offer consultations in Portuguese along with English. He is empathetic, non-judgmental, open-minded, and has a holistic approach focusing on assisting individuals on their healing journey. His goal is to empower and assist clients to regain their confidence.

In his spare time, he enjoys playing sports and spending time with family and friends.

James MacCann

Physiotherapist

James graduated from Sydney University in 2011 with a Masters Degree in Physiotherapy, Exercise and Sports Science majoring in sports performance. Also, have an postgraduate qualification in dry needling, k-taping, casting and sports physiotherapy, and have conducted numerous occupational health programs, notably with TOLL, Dnata and Prysmian Cables.

James have worked in private practices across Sydney and is an lifelong basketball fanatic and continue to represent the Sutherland Sharks.

In his spare time, He enjoys spending time with family.

Campbell Waldron-Smith

Physiotherapist

Availability: Monday, Wednesday & Friday

Campbell completed his Bachelor of Physiotherapy at Charles Sturt University in Orange. He was fortunate to travel across the country for placements with a highlight being working within the Intensive Care Unit in the Mildura Public Hospital. Growing up in Canberra he played a variety of sports, his favourites being Rugby Union and Rowing.

Campbell enjoys treating a variety of injuries, but has special interests in ankle sprains, lower back injuries and gym injuries.

Outside of work, Campbell enjoys lifting weights, running and catching up with friends.

Sonya Cheung

Dietitian

Availability: Friday (Once a fortnight)

Sonya is an Accredited Practising Dietitian with a Master’s degree in nutrition and dietetics from the University of Wollongong. She has experience in managing a range of areas in nutrition such as obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular health, coeliac disease, IBS and food intolerance. She aims to provide individualised care plan to ensure the best outcomes for my patients. While with us, Sonya will be running cooking classes to help you come up with the best dishes that will be suitable for your health.

In her spare time, she enjoys baking, cooking and creating healthy yet low budget recipes. She also loves music, travelling and exploring delicious food and coffee.

Alison graduated in 2020 from University College Dublin, Ireland. She is a very caring and empathetic person who always tries to make patient’s feel at ease. 

Alison has worked in a wide variety of healthcare settings from working on a COVID 19 ward in the depths of the pandemic, managing a large vaccination clinic to working in a specialised sports injury clinic. Given her background working on fast paced acute hospital wards, Alison enjoys a challenge and is keen to keep furthering her education and skills. She has an interest in women’s health, chronic health conditions and wound care. 

In her spare time Alison loves running, playing tennis, travelling and trying out Sydney’s best food spots.
